Request deletion of your account and eligible data

These instructions cover the website, patient account, and official WhatsApp appointment channel.

How to submit a request

  1. Email info@ath.gov.pk with the subject IBPP Data Deletion Request, or call 0992 9311155.
  2. Provide the full name and mobile number used for the IBPP account or WhatsApp appointment service.
  3. State whether the request concerns the complete patient account, appointment messaging, a dependent profile, or all eligible information.
  4. Do not send a password, one-time code, CNIC image, payment detail, or unnecessary medical information in the initial request.

Verification and processing

Authorized IBPP staff may contact you using the registered contact method to verify the request and prevent unauthorized deletion. After verification, eligible information will be deleted or de-identified from active systems within the applicable administrative and legal period.

What happens to the account

If complete account deletion is requested and approved, access to that patient account and its optional family profiles will be removed. Deleting an account may prevent access to previous appointment cards or self-service appointment history. This is different from temporarily disabling an account.

Records that may be retained

Information required for appointment history, patient safety, accounting, fraud prevention, security, audit, dispute resolution, or applicable legal and hospital obligations may be retained for the required period. Where appropriate, records may be restricted or de-identified instead of deleted.

WhatsApp and other providers

Deleting IBPP application data does not automatically delete information retained independently by Meta, a mobile network, an SMS provider, or another service under its own policy. You may also manage or delete the relevant conversation in your WhatsApp application.
